Ofsted: “Pupils flourish in this nurturing school”

Spen Valley High School was inspected by Ofsted on March 9th and 10th 2022. The school was graded 'GOOD' in all categories.  We are extremely proud that it notes; “Pupils flourish in this nurturing school”, they “feel safe” and “have a trusted adult they can talk to”, but at the same time we have “high ambitions for pupils, including those with SEND” and our “pupils are well prepared for life in modern Britain”. Our well-planned curriculum along with good teaching and emphasis on reading is also acknowledged, as well as the strengths in leadership.
