Snow Days and Online Learning
In case of severe weather, which may affect the school, especially snow, an assessment will be made to determine if it is safe and practical to open to staff and students. We will try to make this decision as early as possible in the morning and we will inform parents and carers via ClassCharts if we are to close.
If you do not hear anything from us, the school will be open. Please be assured that we only decide to close the school in exceptional circumstances, where the safety of students is the primary concern.
Live Lessons: In the event of a school closure, students will be expected to complete their lessons for the day online. In this instance, students will follow their normal school timetable for the day (an electronic copy of which can be accessed via the ClassCharts app), and log into Microsoft Teams. Students log into Microsoft Teams using their school email address and password on www.office.com and clicking on the Microsoft Teams icon on the left hand side of the webpage. Alternatively, students can log in to Microsoft Teams directly on https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-teams/group-chat-software. Once logged into Microsoft Teams, students will click on the Team for their lesson and access the live lesson using the link which is posted on the Team channel.
